For two months in 2005 and again in 2008, I traveled around much of Alaska. The weather was generally horrible, raining 36 out of 40 days in 2005, and being the coldest July on record in 2008. At least when the weather did occasionally clear, the scenery did not disappoint. Following my first trip, I wrote a detailed travel guide for much of the state, which is available on the Writing page.
